DAY 5***Feeling Ambitious!!

Yesterday was a busy day, had a morning out, breakfast out, got back home around noon. Did not feel very perky, actually felt downright YUK....but since I posted my project pic I knew I had to
"get 'er done" so I headed to the fridge and flung all that was not up to par. Looks better now, still have the shopping, and meal planning and other things related to do, but that will be an ongoing project.

For today I will focus on maintaining, no new project, I have to make sure all I have done stays in tip top order. I may dillydally with some laundry, there are always dishes, maybe clean out a few closets, clothes are still in need of attention...Sooooo Here I GO GO GO!!!

Day Four- Time is beginning to just FLY!!!

Isn't it always the way, things start off steady and before you know it the time has begun to speed up and panic begins to set in as you realize you are not making the progress you had envisioned. Soooo I will just breathe and pick another area to work on. BABY STEPS! I have to keep remembering that especially when I start to get overwhelmed.  Today I have decided to tackle my fridge, and that job has many facets. You see fridge = food = shopping= meal planning. So they are my goals, I will not get to all of them on this day but I can make a plan and work on it in chunks. Today will be the clean-out, and maybe a shopping list. Have a great day, I am going fridge flinging.

Cellarway became part of today!!

Since this area is right near ROOM 3, it was also tackled. A sneak attack so to speak but look at it before and after....still need to utilize the storage spaces I have...All in good time...BABY STEPS get the jobs done!

Let The SUN Shine IN!!!!!!!

After a bumpy beginning to my day, just feeling YUK, I still managed to muddle thru. Cleaning and making a commitment to change is difficult, one reason being that we want all things to be INSTANT. We must take into account that the things that took years to become so messed up will take more than an instant to fix, so remember to not get paralyzed when you see it all and get overwhelmed. Just take your baby steps and do a little each day...and when your house is shining, remember then to MAINTAIN each day what you have done to get it shining.....

Mopped the floor, dusted the furniture, cleared the junk, organized what I could, and now I am happy with this...looks good and smells good..... Ahhhh the sunshine.....Feeling much better now!! :-)))

DAY THREE - Time to Pick A new PROJECT Room

I have to be honest, I am feeling a little whipped today. A little headache, a little sore from all the moving of stuff, but I will move on with this, do not have time to waste. Today I will set my focus on my back room. It needs some clearing, some dusting, some mopping of the floor, windows maybe if the weather is warm. My alternate focus will be paper mountains in the clutter buckets..I sure don't want thme to be forgotten, THEY MUST BE DEALT WITH!!!

Room Two Day Two....Looking good so far...

Well I mopped floor, dusted, vacuumed, wiped and cleared out the junk ( it is just moved, hopefully by end o f week I can go thru and purge the paper circus that is taking over) Feeling good about this.

Another View...and WHY it takes sooooo long ...

When I really clean, I tear it all apart and then wipe, and scrub, and mop, etc until I am happy with knowing I have gotten all the dust bunnies, all the grime goblins, all the footed fingerprints.....so here is the room torn up, but soon to be looking Mahvelous!!!

Easier said than really done!!!

Well, I am getting very good at clearing and then cleaning an area. I just keep shifting the clutter. You see the EASY part is moving all this stuff around and then finding a new place to Re-Store it again in its original ugly form...(CLUTTER)....the harder part is going to be sorting, sifting, tossing and finding a file system to house things I need, a will to let go of things I seem to keep holding onto and to stop being such a great organizer of CLUTTER..... I will have to go further than 9 days into April, that is for sure to really Cut the CLUTTER and really simplify my life.....the weight of all this junk is bogging me down!!!

DAY TWO - MOVING THRU TO ROOM TWO TO TACKLE

Good Morning, still feeling pumped and this idea seems to have recharged my resolve. Today I have decided to tackle the Dining Room, need a place to eat and it is the center of my house. It looks even worse today because all the things from Bedroom 1 are now in DR. Soooo I will tackle this room and also add in some kitchen stuff like dishes ( there are ALWAYS dishes) and food stuff, I need to clean the fridge....
I can't believe how bad I have let this become, the paperwork has taken over my house, it has grown into an ugly monster, towering over all of my living space. Its funny but it has also taken over my sleep, I think my dreams last night were of cleaning, scrubbing, polishing, dusting, mopping..etc I am "dreaming" of getting my life into good working order, and when that happens, other good things will fall into place...

Progress in one room, now to go thru all the STUFF!!!

I cleared out the room in focus, did a preliminary vacuuming, still need to dust the room, wash the windows and walls, and reorganize the space, utilize the closets, toss unwanted unneeded JUNK and create a room that we can actually LIVE IN!!! In between the bedroom project I managed to do lots of laundry, still need to finish that, also folded clothes and am going thru them to decide what seasonal items will fit and what I can toss...PURGING GODS please be with me, I have a hard time Letting Go!!
Will add a picture as soon as my camera battery is charged...

Day One April 1- April Fools Day

I am officially on Spring Break now and my "project" for the next 9 days is to overhaul and empty my life (and house) of all the disarray and Clutter!!! Today is day one and what can be more fitting then it being April Fools day. I am the "fool" in this equation, mainly because I have been fooling myself into thinking that I can get it all done without a schedule, without a plan. For the past 30 years I have been "flying by the seat of my pants" as the saying goes, and the house is now (actually has been always) showing signs of the result....it is very stressful. People always say the housework will ALWAYS be there, you should enjoy yourself and your free time, but when I see all that IS, I am not free...  :-(((
and relaxing is next to impossible. So I will blog and dust and purge and scrub and mop and toss and shine and wipe and disinfect and clear out and dig out from this mountain of mess and come out on the other side hopefully a changed person. A person with a plan and a schedule and a squeaky clean house that I can and will maintain. Here we go!!!
